On a beautiful autumn afternoon in September, we held our Wedding Open Afternoon – a chance to showcase this elegant 17th-century stately home to prospective brides and grooms.
Lots of couples with their families visited us, being greeted with fizz and canapes on arrival. The 18th-century Princess Mary Drawing Room was set out for a wedding, with crips white-clothed tables set with fabulous floral centrepieces. The 17th-century oak panelled Library displayed the dance floor while the elegant 18th-century Dining Room was set out for a civil ceremony. A few suppliers were invited to create a real wedding feel – with music, flowers, cakes, wedding cars and the ever-popular LOVE letters. Enjoy a taste of the afternoon!
