  1. Beautiful flowers - tons of flowers are still available during the winter months, think chrysanthemums, amaryllis, gerber daisies, roses, and lilies. Bring the outdoors in - use pinecones, tree branches and ferns to make your day have that wintry feel.

  2. No competition with summer weddings - your winter wedding will really stand out rather than the ‘two a penny’ in the summer months. Enjoy the fact that yours will have a totally different feel with sparkly candles, mulled wine and dancing round the fire.

  3. Dramatic outfits - you’ll be able to wear that dramatic dress with snug cosy wraps and faux fur shawls - think of a heavier material that the summer dress style. Groomsmen can shine in thick tweeds and the photos inside or outside will look amazing.

  4. Snow - it’s a real possibility! You never know. Kirsty, from River & Rose, started her day with high winds, driving rain before it turned into heavy snow and a winter wonderland!

  5. Exotic honeymoon - just think after a winter wedding how wonderful it would be to jet off to an far-flung exotic location where the weather is super hot!
