Orangeries are hot right now with the botanical trend having firmly taken root
Here is The Orangery at Goldsborough Hall where you’ll have your wedding breakfast. The Hall itself is a 400-year- old stately home, but this adds a difference dimension & creates a contrasting area.
Why we love it: you can use this space all year round and with its stunning glass roof, the room looks always super bright. With its gorgeous red brick walls and clean white roof space, it’s the perfect blank canvas to create your dream wedding.

Expert cake maker Kean Ong honed his craft while working in some of London's most respected hotels and restaurants. Based in Harrogate he’s passionate about using the freshest, locally sourced & natural ingredients.

‘Elderflower & blackcurrant flavoured cake looks set to be a real winner’
‘Most couples go for different flavours in each tier. Our passionfruit, white chocolate & vanilla sponge cake is a firm favourite while elderflower & blackcurrant, one of our recent additions, looks set to be a real winner and a seasonal favourite for summer weddings. Increasingly couples are enquiring about vegan options, looking to cater for all of their guests. On my to-do list will be developing and perfecting a fabulous range of vegan flavours and fillings.’

‘We’re often asked if Trio Vivo [our trio of violin, cello and piano] can play anything,’ says Chris. ‘Well, pretty much, as long as it has a melody! Over the years we have arranged countless numbers especially for people. We like being given a challenge!’
‘One minute we’ll play Sugar Plum Fairy, the next it’s Game of Thrones!’

Wedding chairs - Harrogate Celebration Hire
It’s all about the statement chair these days - be it a white chiavari or an oak-cross back. Wedding chairs play such an important role, yet they are often overlooked. Choosing the right one is vital – the wrong chair can ruin a beautiful design. A light coloured chair will make your design look light and airy while a wooden chair will give more of a rustic feel.
‘The cross-backed chairs achieve the on-trend rustic style’
Alison says, ‘The rustic vibe is on trend and with our wooden cross-backed chair you can achieve Italian-countryside styling. They can be left plain or dressed up with sashes, flowers or ribbons.’
Why we love Harrogate Celebration Hire: with over 10 years in the wedding business, Philip and Alison will help you choose the right chair for the right occasion.
River & Rose

‘This year’s all about big statement florals such as broken arches’
These signature pieces also create a really natural and romantic look to the wedding ceremony. ‘Couples are really becoming more aware of sustainability in the wedding industry so are choosing British grown flowers, which are incredibly beautiful!’ she adds.
Why we love River & Rose: We’ve known Kirsty for ages, she has been the florist for many Goldsborough Hall weddings - and she loves us so much she even got married here herself!

Andy Larmouth hails from the north-east but casts his magic round the whole country. He will circulate the room during the reception, using his magic to entertain with his close-up magic.
‘One favourite trick is when a signed card appears in a sealed chocolate bar’
‘One is a special trick I perform for the newlyweds in which a signed card appears in a sealed chocolate bar (with the added bonus you get to eat the chocolate after) and the second is a trick where I have the audience create an imaginary honeymoon for the couple and I predict the details of the honeymoon in a letter I have written that morning,’ says Andy.
